An Amateur's Valentine's Book Recommendations

It is nearly the most romantic time of year once again and whether you are spending it with your one true love or are itching to get your hands on the discounted chocolate once it is over, it is undeniably the time to add a bit of romance to your book choice.

Here are five of my top romantic choices for you to try out:

A heartwarming tale that shows anyone can find love in the most unlikely of places.
                                                                                                                       *
'Love isn't an exact science - but no one told Don Tillman. A thirty-nine-year-old geneticist, Don's never had a second date. So he devises the Wife Project, a scientific test to find the perfect partner. Enter Rosie - 'the world's most incompatible woman' - throwing Don's safe, ordered life into chaos. But what is this unsettling, alien emotion he's feeling?'

For those who like the idea of 'one true love' and paranormal in their books. First in a series so it is also good for those who want to marathon a series. Plus as a bonus it is free on Kindle at select times. Click here to get it.

'Maggie is a seventeen year old girl who's had a bad year. Her mom left, her dad is depressed, she's graduating, barely, and her boyfriend of almost three years dumped her for a college football scholarship. Lately she thinks life is all about hanging on by a thread and is gripping tight with everything she has.'

Light comedy with a screwball element. Got a love triangle and a will she won't she aspect to it. Everything Kinsella writes is charming and witty in my opinion so it is great for making you feel good.

'A couple of glasses of bubbly with the girls and Poppy's life has gone into meltdown. Not only has she lost her engagement ring, but in the panic that followed, she's lost her phone too. When she spots an abandoned phone in a bin it seems it was meant to be…Finders Keepers!
Except the phone's owner, elusive businessman Sam Roxton, doesn't agree. He wants his phone back, and doesn't appreciate Poppy reading all his messages and wading into his personal life. Can things get any more tangled?'

For sports fans and non- sports fans alike. Forbidden love (kind of) with a great friendship that, whether you are in a relationship or not, is bound to give you those butterflies in your gut and that smile on your face

'The Boyfriend League From the author of the irresistible beach reads "Caribbean Cruising" and "Thrill Ride" comes a book ideal for a lazy day at the ball park--the story of a girl who searches for romance among the boys of summer.'

Full of Girl Power, this book has amazing chemistry between the two main characters that make you want to change the world and eat a tonne of Haribo with a hunky guy.

'Jeane Smith's a blogger, a dreamer, a dare-to-dreamer, jumble sale queen, CEO of her own lifestyle brand and has half a million followers on Twitter.

Michael Lee's a star of school, stage and playing field. A golden boy in a Jack Wills hoodie.

They have nothing in common but a pair of cheating exes. So why can't they stop snogging?'
